« Mizuno went back to the drawing board and changed almost everything in the Wave Rider for its 30th edition. We found a softer midsole, a full-length Wave Plate, better traction, and a much more modern look. The shoe is more protective than ever before, but the limited energy return and durability were two clear disappointments for us. Furthermore, the higher stack and added stiffness also move it away from the classic Wave Rider feel, which could be a divisive change for loyal fans. »
