« The Brooks Ghost 17 GTX succeeds at turning Brooks’ most popular trainer into a waterproof, winter-ready option. We were impressed by the stronger wet grip and the highly durable outsole, which clearly improve the shoe for rainy conditions. The ride feels familiar, smooth, and stable, keeping the comfort-first Ghost DNA intact. We think that reliability will appeal to many runners looking for a dependable bad-weather daily trainer. However, we also found that energy return remains limited, and the added price premium over the regular version looks a bit excessive. »
