« It’s uncommon for a low-cost running shoe to reach a 16th edition, and we think the Gel Pulse 16 justifies its longevity. In our lab tests and on our runs, we were impressed by the lightweight build, stable platform, and grip-focused outsole, which remain rare strengths at this price. The shoe feels safe and controlled for daily miles, especially for heel strikers. That said, the low-energy midsole holds back enjoyment, and in our view, the upper also needs some refinement, both straightforward upgrades we hope to see in the next version. »
